Home Care Beds: Expectations Vs. Reality

At the request of the Town of Shaunavon, a local task force has been assembled to address the concept of aging in place as it pertains to Shaunavon and the surrounding area.

Chairperson of the committee, Wendy Thienes, explained the group's mission saying "The Town wants to look at ways that they do an even better job of making sure that Shaunavon is, and has, everything that someone would need in order to stay here through their senior years in the community, and within their own home if they choose."

The Aging in Place Committee will be conducting a series of Focus Groups in Shaunavon to get input and ideas from residents about the Aging in Place concept and how Shaunavon can meet the needs of seniors.

The first Focus Group, which is open to the general public, will be held Friday September 24 at 10 a.m. at The Grand Coteau Heritage and Cultural Center.

Other Focus Groups will be held as follows:

Thursday September 30 at 2 p.m. at the Evergreen Villa
